Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo’s Castle Street restaurant is closing and being turned into a new food venue next week.
Riva Blu Italian Bar and Restaurant will replace the Gino My Restaurant, which opened back in the summer of 2017.
The restaurant remains open today and the venue will officially launch as Riva Blu on Thursday, January 27.

Owners Individual Restaurants, who also operate The Restaurant Bar and Grill on Brunswick Street and Piccolino on Cook Street, said: “It’s a new year with a new vision. Individual Restaurants is proud to announce the launch, at the end of January, of its new brand, Riva Blu, in Liverpool (Castle Street), Manchester (Corn Exchange), Birmingham and Leeds. The new Riva Blu restaurants replace the Gino My Restaurants which formerly occupied those locations.”

The Castle Street Gino D’Acampo restaurant opened in July 2017 on the ground floor of the old HSBC bank, with a huge prosecco bar and seating for 200 diners.
In September last year, the celebrity chef opened a second 200 cover restaurant in the city, based at Old Hall Street’s new INNSiDE hotel, along with a 360 Sky Bar on the 18th floor of the building.
