An offer for Giants fans

The New York Giants’ season got off to an extremely rough start and quarterback Daniel Jones received the brunt of the blame from fans.

Whether you are a believer in Jones or not, when a team is losing in the fashion the Giants were through five games, everyone is to blame and that certainly includes the quarterback.

Over the last two weeks, we’ve seen a much different and much more competitive Giants’ team under Tyrod Taylor with Daniel Jones sidelined due to injury. Despite other factors contributing to the team’s competitiveness, many believe Taylor should start moving forward.

Following Sunday’s win over the Washington Commanders, Taylor was asked about the starting role moving forward.

“That’s up to coach,” Taylor told reporters on Sunday. “Obviously, if DJ is healthy, he’s a captain on our team, captain of our team, a leader on the offense and I am here to support in any way that I can.

“That decision is out of my hands and I’m perfectly fine with how, whatever decision is being made. My mindset, there is no attitude change. I am going to continue to keep leading in the way I lead, preparing in the way that I prepare and staying ready for the opportunity.”

Although Taylor has played well, the offense is still struggling to score points and will need to improve moving forward no matter who is under center.

Last week, head coach Brian Daboll made it clear there was no quarterback controversy. He and general manager Joe Schoen have committed themselves to DJ.

With Jones likely back next week as he continues trending in the right direction and the schedule getting a little easier, the Giants will look to stack some wins and continue to turn the season around.
