Were the Giants afraid the Jaguars wanted the player they coveted Thursday?
If not, hard to understand why they swung a trade with the AFC South champs to simply flip the 24th and 25th picks in the first round.
They had to want someone badly because they not only flipped picks but gave two others to the Jaguars
TRADE ALERT: Giants trade up to the No. 24 overall pick!
The Jaguars receive picks 25, 160 and 240. #NFLDraft

The Giants selected Diontae Banks, who is a defensive back from Maryland.
He must be a good one for the Giants to give up two picks plus the flop.
