Giants place CB Aaron Robinson on IR

The New York Giants have placed cornerback Aaron Robinson on injured reserve (IR), meaning he will miss the team’s next four games at minimum.

Robinson started alongside Adoree’ Jackson in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears, but managed just 12 snaps before suffering a knee injury. That came on the heels of an emergency appendectomy that cost Robinson the previous two games.

A third-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Robinson started his rookie season on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list as the result of core surgery. He was activated on November 1 and went on to play in nine games, recording 26 tackles (16 solo), one QB hit and three passes defensed.

In two games this season. Robinson has recorded six tackles (five solo) and one pass defensed.

With Robinson now on IR, the Giants will turn to Darnay Holmes, Cor’Dale Flott, Fabian Moreau, Justin Layne and Nick McCloud to help fill the void. They also have Zyon Gilbert and Olaijah Griffin on the practice squad.
