Giants agree to terms with ex-Commanders TE Ricky Seals-Jones

The tight end position for the New York Giants was looking very barren, so they decided to add one on Wednesday night.

The Giants have agreed to terms with Ricky Seals-Jones, reports Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

Seals-Jones played for the Washington Commanders in 2021 and hauled in 30 catches for 271 yards with two touchdowns. One of his touchdowns came back in Week 2 against his new team in the Giants.

Seals-Jones came into the league back in 2017 as an undrafted free agent who signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He spent two seasons down in the desert.

Seals-Jones then played the 2019 season with the Cleveland Browns and the 2020 season with the Kansas City Chiefs. For his career, he has 90 total catches for 1,044 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Seals-Jones joins Chris Myarick, Jake Hausmann and Rysen John as tight ends on the roster. Evan Engram left to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kyle Rudolph was released and Kaden Smith was waived.
