Sucker Punch is repackaging Ghost of Yōtei on Oct. 1 into the Complete Edition, which comes out on PS5 with the Echoes of Sekigahara narrative expansion, a survival mode called Most Wanted, and a handful of smaller additions.
This edition costs $69.99 for new players, while anyone who already owns Ghost of Yōtei can pick up the paid additions through a $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade.
Quick Summary

What is included in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition?
Buying the $69.99 Complete Edition gets you the original Ghost of Yōtei and Ghost of Yōtei Legends, the free online co-op mode that launched earlier in 2026. Both are playable straight away, whereas Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted only unlock once the version 2.0 patch comes out on Oct. 1.
Everything previously bundled with the Digital Deluxe Edition also carries over into the package, as does the Charm of Hokkyokusei. If you buy the Complete Edition by Sept. 30, you’ll get an early unlock of the Sakai Armor on Oct. 1, putting Jin Sakai’s family armor from Ghost of Tsushima into Atsu’s wardrobe.
For the game’s existing owners, the $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade covers Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted, and any player missing the Digital Deluxe Edition content or the Charm of Hokkyokusei will also get those bonuses as soon as they pre-order. The Sakai Armor early unlock applies here too, again for purchases made by Sept. 30.
What is Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara?
Echoes of Sekigahara tells a new story of Atsu’s present-day journey and flashbacks to her time on the Japanese mainland. The present-day storyline begins when Nagato, someone from Atsu’s past, arrives in Ezo, and it eventually leads into a previously unexplored valley once held by The Snake and his Viper followers.
Those flashbacks are set during the Battle of Sekigahara itself, filling in an important part of Atsu’s life before she returned home and started the revenge quest at the center of Ghost of Yōtei. New enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes, and other equipment will be added as well.
How long any of this takes to play through remains unknown, as does the full list of new weapons and quests. Sucker Punch says more details are coming before the Oct. 1 release.
What is the new Most Wanted mode?
Most Wanted is a single-player combat roguelite survival mode. Accepting a bounty starts a run, defeating enemies earns perks, and further playable characters unlock over time.
Each of those characters brings a different weapon specialty: Atsu fights with dual katanas, Oyuki with the kusarigama, and Nagato with a yari. Sucker Punch is holding back the details on progression and the complete roster until closer to release.
What else is new in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition?
The Complete Edition brings new music to Watanabe Mode, and those tracks can play across the entire game while the mode is active. New Photo Mode stamps, extra New Game+ cosmetics, and separate Trophy sets for both Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
Several parts of version 2.0 are free regardless of whether you buy the $14.99 upgrade. Beauty of Yōtei is a screensaver-style mode that leaves environmental views from Ezo running on screen, and those views can be used for Photo Mode captures.
Armor customization also gets more flexible in the same free update, as you’ll be able to keep the appearance of one armor set while running the stats of another, separating how Atsu looks from what her equipment actually does. A new high-contrast accessibility option is included as well.
Does Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition include Legends?
Ghost of Yōtei Legends is also part of the Complete Edition despite being out already. The multiplayer mode supports up to four players across several activities, including its endgame Raid, though online multiplayer requires PlayStation Plus.
Legends released as free DLC for Ghost of Yōtei owners on March 10, so it isn’t really a reason to buy the Complete Edition Upgrade. That $14.99 is really just for Echoes of Sekigahara, Most Wanted, and whichever Deluxe bonuses aren’t already on the account.
