Germany has announced a halt to all military equipment exports that could be used in Gaza, a significant move from a nation historically supportive of Israel.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated the ban would remain "until further notice," following the Israeli Cabinet's recent announcement of plans to take over Gaza City.
