German media react to Dominik Szoboszlai transfer whilst Liverpool medical takes place

German media react to Dominik Szoboszlai's £60m Liverpool move

It was announced on Friday that Szoboszlai would become one of Liverpool's most expensive signings by means of paying his £60-million release clause to RB Leipzig.

After weeks of speculation linking the Reds to other targets such as Khephren Thuram, Manu Kone, Ryan Gravenberch and Gabri Veiga, the Hungarians name entered the rumour mill and within a matter of days was in line to become Jurgen Klopp's second summer signing.

In response the German media reacted, leading to some brilliant quotes.

One outlet gave Szoboszlai the moniker, 'The Hammer,' whilst others published glowing appraisal of the 22-year-old ahead of his big move.

Dominik Szoboszlai's private plane tracked en route to medical

Amid the media's interest in Liverpool's decision to pay the full release clause for Szoboszlai, the man in question was brought to Anfield via private plane.

Eagle-eyed trackers were able to pinpoint exactly what flight he was on as it departed from the capital of his home country, Budapest, and landed on Merseyside later on Saturday afternoon.

Video footage from a distance on social media then showed the Hungary international being ushered into a silver van and whisked away to nearby club facilities.
