Georgia surges to 17-point lead over top-ranked Texas

Georgia overcame a pair of early turnovers and took advantage of Texas mistakes to take a 17-0 lead midway through the second quarter of the SEC battle on Saturday.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers fumbled while being sacked and later threw an interception.

Georgia’s three scoring drives totaled 60 yards. Trevor Etienne scored on two touchdown runs.

The Bulldogs came in ranked with and the Longhorns were top-ranked.

Georgia’s lone loss came against Alabama.

This added more intrigue to Texas’ troubles.
