The Georgia Bulldogs didn’t need any help from their counterpart in the College Football Playoff national championship to hit the over.
With the over/under set anywhere from 61.5 to 63.5, the Bulldogs got there on their own, reaching 65 points in the fourth quarter of a game in which Stetson Bennett IV and the majority of their starters were pulled long before the final whistle.
It’s a good thing for anyone who bet the over considering the TCU offense didn’t contribute anything at all after a first-quarter touchdown.
The UGA win was an excellent sendoff for Bennett in his final collegiate game, as he scored six total touchdowns (four rushing, two passing) while throwing for 304 yards and rushing for 39. The Bulldogs eclipsed 550 yards in a game that wasn’t close from the opening kick.
Anyone who bet the under in this game is surely regretting that decision.
