Georgia fans sad, yet optimistic after Bulldogs loss at Alabama

The Georgia Bulldogs (3-1) gave UGA fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic in their 41-34 loss at the Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0) thanks to Georgia’s strong second half. Georgia stumbled out of the gate and trailed 28-0 in the first half. Turnovers and pour tackling cursed the Bulldogs as they failed to find a hold on the road.

At one point in the third quarter, Alabama had a 99.0% chance to win according to ESPN. Georgia changed the momentum behind a monster second half from quarterback Carson Beck and a much improved defensive effort.

Right after Georgia finally gained the lead on a long Dillon Bell touchdown, UGA gave up a 75 yard touchdown to Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams. Williams finished the game with six receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown. No other Alabama receiver finished with over 40 yards.

Georgia’s final drive of the night stalled in the red zone as Carson Beck threw his third interception of the game to Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown.

Beck finished the night with 439 passing yards, four touchdowns, and four turnovers. Beck and the Georgia team showed that UGA is capable of winning a championship in the second half, but they have to start faster and take better care of the football.

Here’s how Georgia football fans reacted on social media following the loss:
