The Seattle Seahawks will begin their 2024 regular-season campaign in exactly seven days with a Week 1 home matchup versus the Denver Broncos at Lumen Field! Since Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith wears No. 7, we figured a highlight reel of Smith’s best throws qualified as an appropriate celebration!

Smith started 15 games for the Seahawks last season. He completed 64.7% of his passing attempts for 3,624 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. In two campaigns as Seattle’s unquestioned starter, Smith has thrown for 50 touchdowns and 7,906 yards.
This season, Smith will attempt to recapture the magic of his 2022 campaign. In his first year as the starter following Russell Wilson’s departure, Smith posted career highs in completion percentage (6.98%, minimum qualifiers), passing yards (4,282), and touchdowns (30). The former West Virginia standout has developed into a high-level starter for the Seahawks.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider continued investing resources in Smith as the team’s starting quarterback this offseason. New head coach Mike Macdonald hired Ryan Grubb as the new offensive coordinator. Grubb coached an explosive Washington Huskies offense in college football last season.
Schneider also attempted to improve the offensive line. Connor Williams was signed to play center, Christian Haynes was drafted in the third round to be an eventual solution at guard, and George Fant was signed as a veteran right tackle option while regular starter Abe Lucas continues rehabbing from an injury.
We’re Geno Smith days away from the kickoff and the Seahawks are ready to watch their starting QB have a career-best season!
