Hannibal Mejbri has netted his first senior goal in emphatic style in Birmingham City’s Midlands derby clash with West Brom.
The Manchester United loanee hit an audacious quick free-kick to catch opposition goalkeeper David Button out of position, bending the ball around the wall and into the net. The Tunisia World Cup star is a fan favourite at St Andrew’s and sent it into raptures to give his side the lead on 10 minutes.
Hannibal has been loaned to Birmingham for the rest of the season and has become one of the first names on John Eustace’s team sheet. In his 27 outings, he has made 17 starts and assisted five goals.

His ferocious energy has impressed Birmingham fans, although his boss is trying to ease his tendency to foul with nine yellow cards to his name this season. But Hannibal now has a goal to show for his efforts and naturally United supporters were delighted with the midfielder.
Many took to social media to react to the goal, praising the 20-year-old’s quick thinking. Some United fans dream about his return to the club while others predict a bright future for the hustling talent.
