Filipino-British singer/songwriter Beabadoobee will perform her first show in the Kingdom "Beatopia Tour 2022 Live In Bangkok" at Samyan Mitrtown Hall of Samyan Mitrtown, Rama IV Road, on Sept 19 at 8pm.
Hailed as a Gen Z icon, the 22-year-old star from London made her name with the debut song Coffee, which she wrote on her guitar in 2017. It attracted over 300,000 views on YouTube and led her to sign to a record label and launch two mini albums in 2018, Lice and Patched Up, and two more in 2019, Loveworm and Space Cadet.
She was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the 2020 Brit Awards and won the Radar Award at the 2020 NME Awards.
Beabadoobee released her debut studio album Fake It Flowers, with Care as a lead single in 2020 and embarked on a headlining tour of the UK and Ireland to support the album last year.
Her second studio album Beatopia was released last month. The term represents a fantastical yet deeply personal world that was formed in her imagination when she was seven and has been carried with her ever since.
The album comprises 14 songs in which she traverses fuzzy rock, classic, psychedelia, midwest emo and outright pop whilst remaining undeniably herself throughout.
The "Beatopia Tour 2022" sees her performing around the world including five Asian cities -- Manila, Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
Tickets cost 2,000 and 2,500 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major booths (visit thaiticketmajor.com).
