Gemma Collins looks adorable in throwback photos as young child with mum

Gemma Collins was one super cute child.

The former TOWIE star, 41, took a trip down memory on Saturday, sharing a series of major throwback pictures with her Instagram followers.

Gemma looked super adorable as a youngster in the trio of restored family snaps shared with her 2.2 million followers.

Clearly in a reflective mood, the reality TV icon included a string of inspirational quotes in the caption for the update over the weekend.

"Be kinder to yourself. Always know your worth. The world is bigger than you think it is and your worries aren't as important as you think they are, just be you. Don't worry if you look different, or feel you look different, from most," Gemma told her fans on the social media platform.

She added: "THANKYOU @lovedonesforever for making these pics so clear and fresh and restoring beautiful memories."

In the first snap, the future Diva Forever star can be beaming for the camera as a kid, wearing a shirt, pinafore and a cute bow in her hair.

Gemma's beloved mother Joan made an appearance in the second image, with the pair enjoying a day of horse-riding in a sunny field.

The final image, the star's whole family, including her father Alan and brother Russell, wear all smiles for a lovely group shot from Gemma's childhood.

Gemma's nostalgic look back on her youth comes just days after she revealed her battle with self-harm as a teen.

The Essex icon is set to star in her own Channel 4 documentary, Gemma Collins: Self Harm And Me.

The businesswoman has recalled the moment she walked into the kitchen of her childhood home and ran the blade of a knife across her arm in front of her horrified parents.

"My parents were in the kitchen and I just walked in. I think I'd done it before, but it was a bit of a cry for help. I did it in front of them and they were just in shock," told explained to The Mirror earlier this week.

"There was this silence and we never spoke about it again.

She continued: "Pressure would build up and that was the way that I would deal with it. I felt relief when I self-harmed. It was a coping mechanism for me if I felt stressed.

"But I just couldn’t talk about it. When you do it for the first time you don’t know why but you hope ‘I never do that again’ and you hope those feelings never come back that make me want to do it."

The reality TV star also admitted she kept hid her struggle secret over fears she would be "sent to a mental asylum for life".
