Gemma Atkinson was left having to explain she wasn't pregnant to her daughter after she made a big announcement at her toddler club. The Hits Radio star and her Strictly Come Dancing star fiancé Gorka Marquez share Mia, who turned three earlier this month.
The family of three recently enjoyed an emotional trip to Spain after dancer Gorka wasn't able to see his family for two years due to Covid. They jetted off to Bilbao in northern Spain where they made the most of the sunny weather and a reunion with Gorka's parents.
Gemma, from Bury, shared video clips and photos on her Instagram of the family while away as they took in the stunning scenery and glorious sunshine. The trio went bodyboarding while at the beach. Posting a picture of herself in a black swimsuit she looked like a natural as she posed with her bodyboard under her arm.

Upon arriving in Spain, Gemma shared a photo of three-year-old Mia heading to the beach, holding the hands of her grandparents, Gorka's mum and dad. "After 2 and a half years, we made it back to Spain," the mum-of-one shared with her followers alongside the beautiful photo as they headed towards the sand and sea.
But now they're back home, it appears Mia has misunderstood her doting mum's changing body. Speaking to her co-host Mike Toolan during their drivetime radio show, Gemma said: "Mia's told a lot of the teachers at nursery that I'm pregnant!" to which Mike replied: "What! You're pregnant? I thought it was just a bit of holiday weight."
Gemma, 37, laughed and replied: "It is holiday weight, I'm not!" As Mike quizzed her, he said: "You're not pregnant but Mia's telling people you're pregnant?" The former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star said: "She's told four of the staff at toddlers I'm pregnant." She continued to explain: "Gorka picked her up on Monday and when I got back from work he said to her, 'Tell mummy what you said today...' and she got a bit funny..."
The mum-of-one then explained how she found out that her little girl had got up in front of everyone and said: "I've got something to say... my mummy's got a baby in her tummy." Gemma then told how Mia has already decided it's a girl called Annabelle. Gemma had to tell her daughter she wasn't going to be a big sister just yet, much to her disbelief.
It turns out Mia came to the conclusion that her mum was expecting after seeing her rub her tubby. However, Gemma explained how she had a bit of a bug while on holiday, hence why she may have been touching her stomach. Mike told Gemma Mia has a 'creative mind' to which she recalled how her mum said Mia may have a 'sixth sense.
Wes appeared surprised and queried whether they were planning another baby but Gemma was adamant not just yet. The actress and presenter spoke to the Manchester Evening News about expanding her brood last month. “we’ll definitely have more babies one day, hopefully," she said.
Gemma also responded to claims that she and Gorka has postponed their wedding after getting engaged on Valentine's Day last year.. “Gorka’s family are in Spain and the Spanish lockdown rules are quite strict at the minute and we want all of his family to be able to come,” she told us. “So we are umming and ahing with doing it in Spain or doing it in Manchester so we’re thinking maybe next July. We’re just not sure over here or in Spain yet.
“We’re just waiting to see what works best for all his family. None of them speak English so I at least want them to be able to order a drink which they won’t be able to do. They’re from Bilboa and we’ve not been over a lot really.” She added: “But I think it’s because we’re so good how we are. We’re not in rush or under any pressure. It’s quite nice.” As for when they had reportedly postponed, Gemma says Gorka said to her; “Did we book somewhere?” to which she replied: “No, did you book somewhere?”
