Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Gorka Marquez have announced they are expecting a baby boy. The couple shared the happy news on Saturday morning with a sweet nap of their daughter Mia.
They said she was "thrilled" with news that she is having a baby brother, but has come up with an unusual name for him.
Gemma said: "Impossible to hide my belly any longer. I’ve officially “popped.”. Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year
We feel so incredibly blessed and Grateful to be on this journey again.
"Mia is absolutely thrilled! Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie."
The couple were not paired when Gemma appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, but fell in love during the filming of the series and daughter Mia was born in 2019.
The radio presenter needed to have an emergency C-section when Mia's heart rate dropped suddenly, with Gemma suffering a haemorrhage after the birth, losing nearly a litre of blood.
Gorka and his dance partner Helen Skelton were runners up in last year's Strictly Come Dancing.
