Gatehouse is set to welcome more than 1,000 cyclists this weekend.
The TREK UCI Gravel World Series is heading to the town for The Gralloch, which will see riders battling it out on a 70-mile route through the Galloway Forest Park.
Thirty nationalities will be represented on the startline, with riders’ ages ranging from 19 to 79.
The event, organised by RED:ON, is being held for the first time and has been a sell-out, thanks to being a qualifier for this year’s UCI Gravel World Championships.
It has attracted a stellar field, including Cameron Mason, fellow Scot Isla Short, who took part in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Nathan Haas and Alex Dowsett.
A special fan zone will be open from 3pm to 10pm on Saturday, with a chance to meet the pros at 5.30pm.
The fan zone will also be open for most of Saturday with the action beginning from 11am.
The winners are expected back around 2.45pm, with the podium presentations set to take place an hour later.
