Manchester United legend Gary Neville has claimed that Chelsea have the "perfect" players for Mauricio Pochettino to take charge of ahead of next season. There is still no agreement in place between the Blues and Pochettino despite confidence being high that a deal can be struck between both parties, football.london understands
Todd Boehly has already sacked two managers during his time at Stamford Bridge with Graham Potter being relieved of his duties just six months after taking over from Thomas Tuchel. Frank Lampard is now in charge until the end of the season, but the club legend has failed to turn things around after suffering five straight defeats after making his Chelsea return.
Julian Nagelsmann pulled out of the running to become Potter's permanent successor after raising concerns about the club's structure under Boehly and Co. football.london reported earlier this month that talks with Pochettino regarding the vacant head coach role have been positive.

The Times have suggested that the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain boss could be offered the job in the coming days as Chelsea figures plan to meet in Los Angeles to decide on who the new coach will be. Ange Postecoglou and Vincent Kompany were among the candidates being considered but it looks as though Pochettino is leading the race.
Neville believes the Blues have the 'perfect' squad for the Argentine manager to lead forward into the 2023/24 campaign and help Chelsea forget their nightmare season. When discussing Pochettino on The Overlap, the ex-United defender said: "I think he [Pochettino] is a really talented coach.
"I think Chelsea next year could really surprise us. Pochettino will bring the club together because he will; he’s likeable, and the players will respect him enormously.
"I think he’ll do a very, very good job next season. He’ll cover a lot of the stuff that’s going on behind the scenes is my prediction.
"If they get him, I think you’ll have a very good season next year. Those players are perfect for Pochettino; they are talented and young, but they just need direction."
Chelsea have a number of young, talented players at the club but many are suffering from a lack of confidence and unsettled surroundings. Boehly must overhaul the squad once again this summer and move on a large amount of players to avoid a repeat of the 2022/23 campaign.
