Former England striker Gary Lineker said Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo was "burying pretty much everyone" during his interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo launched an attack on his current club, as Erik ten Hag, Ralf Rangnick, the Glazers and former teammates were all criticised by the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. There was seemingly no limit to who the Portugal international would put in the firing line during his interview with Morgan.
The 37-year-old has revealed that he has no respect for Ten Hag, while also claiming the facilities at the club are not up to scratch. Ronaldo went on to hit out at some of his former teammates, as he took aim at Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville for criticising him in recent weeks.
United's number seven also confirmed that he came close to joining Manchester City before Sir Alex Ferguson's intervention, while claiming that the "progress was zero" at the club since the Scot's departure from Old Trafford.
The former Real Madrid man also admitted that he had never heard of Rangnick before his appointment, as he questioned the club's decision making progress at every level in the hierarchy. The fallout from the accusations has no doubt seen Ronaldo burn his bridges with the club, as United work out the best plan of action going forward to ensure the focus is put back on the pitch for Ten Hag and his squad after the World Cup break.
Lineker watched the interview and the former Barcelona forward took to social media to say that he could not see a way back for Ronaldo following his comments.
Lineker tweeted: "Can’t see @Cristiano at Old Trafford for long. Burying pretty much everyone at the club in his interview with @piersmorgan: the players, the staff, the coaches, the board. Extraordinary!"
