Gary Lineker and Emmanuel Macron have both reacted to the Irish 'baguette' guy.
For those who haven't seen it, an Irish man interrupted a l'equipe interview by looking the camera dead into the eye and shouting "Je suis une baguette," which quite literally translates to I am a baguette.
Eddie O'Keeffe from Limerick is the name of the Irish man in question. And while the Munster man who now lives in Dubai revealed to the Irish Mirror that his mother is 'disgusted' with him.

While his Mam may not be too impressed, Eddie has earned plenty of admirers the World over. BBC presenter Gary Lineker for example, reacted to the video on Twitter with a string of crying laughing emoji faces.
Even French President Emmanuel Macron got invloved. Some internet sleuthing reveals that the leader of France 'liked' the original Tweet containing the video of the Irish lad's baguette comment.
The voice of Irish soccer George Hamilton also got in on the act and asked his 21,000 Twitter followers "Who is this boy in green?"
And to cap things off, yet another Offaly jersey was spotted at the World Cup, this time, a fan can be seen in the green and gold shirt at the beginning of the video.
So, at least there is some Irish involvement at this World Cup.
