Gary Barlow is bringing his highly acclaimed A Different Stage tour to Newcastle, after it's received rave reviews in a numbers so far.
While Take That fans live in hope that the band will once again reunite to celebrate the group's 30th anniversary, as well as looking forward to the film version of musical The Band, Gary has been playing a host of intimate shows around the country on his A Different Stage tour. A much more stripped back affair to the huge arena and stadium spectacles Take That fans have come to love, fans and Gary himself have stayed relatively tight lipped about what happens in the show, but everyone whose been to one so far has been full of high praise.
A Different Stage sees Gary perform a musical retelling of his own life story, with those who seen him in action saying it's a real emotional rollercoaster. A Different Stage premiered at The Brindley, the award-winning theatre in Runcorn, Cheshire, in February to a rapturous reception from his delighted fans. He has since played to sell-out audiences in Salford, Liverpool and Edinburgh and now Gary has announced some more tour dates, which includes shows at the Tyne Theatre in Newcastle on October 11 and 12..

Tickets will go on sale from 9.30am on Friday, April 29 from Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours. They will also be available from the Tyne Theatre website.
Created by Gary and his long-time friend and collaborator Tim Firth, A Different Stage sees Gary narrate the journey of his life alongside the music from his incredible discography. In a project unlike anything he’s ever done before, Gary will take the audience behind the curtain, with nothing off limits in this special performance.
Gary said: “Now I've done shows where it has just been me and a keyboard. I've done shows where I sit and talk to people. I've done shows where I've performed as part of a group. But this one, well, it’s like all of those, but none of them. When I walk out this time, it's going to be a very different stage altogether.”
