As households begin storing away mowers, tools and outdoor furniture for the winter, garden security demands careful consideration.
According to the Office For National Statistics, ‘other household theft’ – thefts from outside people’s homes – surged by 21 per cent to roughly 791,000 incidents in the year to March 2026. This includes everything from gardening tools and outdoor seating to pressure washers, bicycles, decorative ornaments and vehicles left on driveways.
