Galway Gardai sealed off the scene of a serious incident on Sunday afternoon following reports of a stabbing, while the knifeman remains at large after fleeing the scene.
Galway Beo reports that a taxi man was stabbed during the assault, which occurred in Doughiska, located on the outskirts of Galway city.
The incident is understood to have taken place shortly after 1.30pm, with Gardai subsequently sealing off the scene in Fionn Uisce.

The report states that the man was rushed to hospital but was not fatally injured, while the knifeman reportedly stole the victim's taxi before fleeing the scene on foot.
Investigating officers sealed off the scene throughout Sunday afternoon, while no arrests have yet been made.
A garda spokesperson told Galway Beo: "Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred in the Fionn Uisce area of Doughiska, at approximately 1:40pm this afternoon, Sunday 26th March 2023. No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing."
