Gardaí have seized a massive €700,000 worth of Cannabis in Dublin after a search operation in Brittas, Dublin 24.
The search was carried out on Sunday at around 11:00 am and was conducted by officers attached to Tallaght Garda Station including the Garda Dog Unit, Regular Unit and Tallaght and Rathfarnham Divisional Drugs Units.
As part of Operation Tara, gardaí stormed a yard in the Crooksling area of Brittas and came away with a large seizure of drugs which has now been sent for analysis.
At this point, no arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: “As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí have seized approximately €700,000 Cannabis following a search operation in Brittas, Dublin 24, today, 31st July 2022.
“At approximately 11 am this morning, Gardaí attached to Tallaght Garda Station including the Garda Dog Unit, Regular Unit and Tallaght and Rathfarnham Divisional Drugs Units, searched a yard in the Crooksling area of Brittas.
“During the course of this search cannabis with an approximate value of €700,000 was recovered.
“The drugs have been sent for forensic examination. No arrests have been made at this time
“Investigations are ongoing.”
