Gardai have launched a witness appeal after a man in his 80s was killed in a collision with a van.
The crash happened on the North Circular Road between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road on January 19.
The pedestrian was taken to the Mater Hospital where he tragically passed away on February 11.
The driver was not inured in the collision.
And gardai at Mountjoy are appealing today for any witnesses to this collision to come forward - especially those with dash-cam footage.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are appealing for witnesses in relation to a fatal road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 6:50am on Wednesday, 19th January, 2022, on the North Circular Road between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road in Dublin 7.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where he passed away on Friday, 11th February, 2022. The driver of the van was uninjured."
"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling along the North Circular Road between Phibsborough Road and Berkeley Road between 6:40am and 7:15am on Wednesday, 19th January, 2022, are asked to make this footage available to Gardai."
