The chief suspect in the murder of an OAP was last night being quizzed by gardai.
The man, in his 20s, was arrested for the killing of Christy Hall in Balbriggan, Co Dublin last November.
The suspect is believed to have been on bail on separate charges but was locked up for breaching conditions at the time.
Yesterday cops brought him under arrest to Balbriggan Garda station.
A spokesman said: “He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Balbriggan Garda station.”
Mr Hall, 65, was brutally murdered at his home.
Gardai believe a weapon was used to strike and kill him.
