Garda checkpoints: Routine stop leads to discovery of dangerous weapon

A Garda checkpoint over the Bank Holiday weekend found a knife in the back of a car.

It was one of a number of problems found with the vehicle at the stop in Wexford on Monday afternoon.

The checkpoint was part of a special unit's operation on a road in the south-eastern county.
