Gang boss' ex avoids jail by 'skin of her teeth' after driving teens to drug deals

The ex partner of a drugs boss avoided prison time by the “skin of her teeth”, as two men were jailed for exploiting vulnerable teenagers who ferried drugs among other crimes.

Jamie Upton set-up a drugs line in Hull in March 2020, transporting heroin and crack cocaine between there and Manchester, taking control of an existing county lines operation.

In March 2020 Upton, 25, texted his then girlfriend, Georgia Burns, to say he was going to Hull 'for a while' claiming he could make £3,000 a month, Bolton Crown Court heard.
