Gabriel Jesus has issued a defiant message in the first social media activity from a Manchester City player since their Champions League exit to Real Madrid.
City were minutes away from a second successive Champions League final at the Bernabeu, holding a two-goal aggregate lead as injury time approached. However, 89th and 91st-minute goals levelled the tie for Real, with Karim Benzema completing the comeback early in extra time.
The Blues looked stunned at full time, and no players spoke to media after the game. They have also been notably quiet on social media since Wednesday, however Jesus has become the first player to speak out on Friday afternoon.

Posting a picture of the City starting line-up at the Bernabeu, Jesus wrote on Instagram: "Together until the end."
He accompanied the message with a fist-pump emoji, adding to the defiant attitude City must now show going into the Premier League clash with Newcastle on Sunday.
After the game, Pep Guardiola said: "We need time now. We have to do it with our people. The players gave everything. We were so close. We couldn’t do it. In the history of football this happens. With the people supporting them it’s more difficult.
"This will have a positive impact on the Real players. On us? I don’t know. They won, that’s it. We weren’t suffering all that much I don’t think."
