Gabby Jeffery has spoken out about the 'confusion' she's been left with, over one of the boys in the Love Island villa, following her exit from the ITV show on Wednesday night.
Family and friends and plenty of ITV viewers had high hopes for Gateshead girl Gabby, when she went into the latest series of the hit dating show, as part of this year's Casa Amor,. As well as remarking that she looked a lot like OG Islander Ella Thomas, many Love Island fans thought she had what it takes to earn a place in the show and not be dumped after just a few days.
Sadly, it wasn't to me for Gabby, even after she was seen getting close to and sharing a kiss with Sammy Root 24 hours before her exit. However, after also kissing Amber Wise, it was the footballer's daughter who Sammy ended up being recoupling with, sealing Gabby's plane ticket home, after Scott also 'snubbed' her in favour of staying loyal to Catherine; a decision he quickly regretted, as she returned to the villa with one of the new boys.
Talking about Sammy in her exit interview, creative assistant Gabby said: "I’m still confused! Sammy was not on my radar at all before I walked in but as soon as I walked in he caught my eye, I was like woah, he’s really attractive.
"Our first chat was natural, really cheeky and flirty and I thought, maybe he is on my radar now. I don’t think I expressed it much to the group, so when I did start to get interested in Sammy it was a shock to everyone."
Gabby continued: "I just went with my feelings and how I felt at the time. We had a lot of flirty energy after our kiss but we didn’t have deep conversations, which I think he got more from Amber. I wish them all the best." Asked if she expected to be picked by Sammy, Gabby added: "No, I wasn’t surprised. Amber and Sammy spoke more than we did and I didn’t want to force anything."
Kate added: "It makes me feel emotional thinking about how that must have been going through her mind and still is."
