US brand G/FORE is renowned for making a powerful and colorful impact on the game, creating a range of golf shoes, apparel and accessories, inspired by art, architecture and high fashion that have a youthful energy.
I cannot help but smile when I see a G/FORE product because it’s fun, like the women’s G112 golf shoe that features four vibrant colours including a fuschia pink sole with a touch of yellow, a light blue heel and bright orange laces.
The women’s G/FORE glove collection is equally colorful and there’s a choice of 12 colors, and as we’ve come to expect from this highly modern and fashionable brand, most colors are bold and eye-catching like tangerine, blossom and clover, so there’s a color to match any pair of shoes or outfit, and your personality.
The color I tested is called Baja, a lovely light blue from the pastel collection, which is fairly low key compared with many of the other colors on offer, but it suited me perfectly. When it comes to gloves, I automatically think of FootJoy as the market leader, but brands like G/FORE and Duca del Cosma are definitely making their mark in the golf glove industry.
It’s crafted in premium AA Cabretta leather, which makes it supersoft, and in a size small (my usual glove size) it felt comfortable from the outset. The Velcro tab, which is stamped with a G/FORE logo allows you to tighten it as much as you need around your wrist.
It also provided plenty of grip from start to finish. In fairness, I have only played once wearing this glove, so I’m not in a position to comment on its durability, but given its premium look and feel, it should tick all the boxes for women golfers.
