A former club for ex-servicemen in Nottinghamshire is facing an uncertain future. Mansfield Woodhouse Ex-Serviceman's Club, situated in Slant Lane, is in the process of appointing liquidators.
Documents on the Gazette show creditors at the club are to meet on Tuesday, March 7, where they will discuss the liquidation. The notice for the meeting, posted on February 20, says: "Resolutions to be taken at the meeting may include a resolution specifying the terms on which the liquidators are to be remunerated, and the meeting may receive information about, or be called upon, to approve the costs of preparing the statement of affairs and convening the meeting."
The club boasts an impressive rating on Google, with reviews averaging at 4.2 out of five. "Brings communities together," reads one of the more recent reviews.
Another reviewer wrote: "Great atmosphere friendly bar staff. Drink prices one off the cheapest good selection." Nottinghamshire Live attempted to contact Mansfield Woodhouse Ex-Serviceman's Club.
