A LORRY has crashed onto the east-coast railway line, disrupting services to Edinburgh Waverley after strikes already seriously limited transport options.
Network Rail said the vehicle was on the railway line between Wallyford, near Musselburgh, and Prestonpans.
Reports from the East Lothian Courier say police, fire and ambulance crews are still on the scene after being called out at about 2pm.

Because of the lorry’s height nearing the overhead power lines, the electricity was switched off for safety reasons – impacting services in and out of Scotland’s capital city. After 4pm, services resumed but continued to face delays.
Services had already been hit by thousands of railway workers staging their second strike of the week.
Around 40,000 members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union at Network Rail and 13 train operators walked out again on Thursday after talks failed to resolve a bitter row over pay, jobs and conditions.
