Bernadette Connelly has been remembered as someone who brought "love, light and laughter" into the lives of all who knew her.
The Dublin woman was laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon following her funeral Mass at St Cronan's Church in Swords.
The body of the 49-year-old was found on a beach in Blackpool in the UK last week almost two months after she went missing.
Her colleagues at Dublin Airport formed a guard of honour for Bernadette, while numerous items were brought to the altar in remembrance of her life.
Among these were her daughter Jade's birth tag, her "guilty pleasures" of chocolate and cigarettes, as well as the towel she brought to the beach the day she went missing on January 7.
Celebrant Fr Paul Thornton led the Mass, describing how Bernadette brought so much into the lives of everyone who knew her.
"Since January 7, Bernadette's family's lives have been turned upside down...but since that first day, they never stopped looking for her," he said.
The funeral featured music from U2, who Bernadette loved, while her brother Des issued a heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped with the search effort over the last two months.
Closing the Mass, Jade issued a heartbreaking message to her mam, who she described as her "best friend".
"You brought so much love, light and laughter into all of our lives," she said.
"You are beautiful, funny, kind and true, true to all who were lucky enough to know you.
"The loving sister, a devoted daughter to my granny and grandad.
"Mam, I will never forget the day that changed all of our lives forever, being told you were missing, last seen on a beach, the sense of helplessness we all felt.
"Police, helicopters, boats, sniffer dogs, drones, men on horses all our in force trying to find you.
"That night I stayed up looking outside your bedroom window, hoping to see your face walking down the road, hoping this was just a dream.
"I woke up, this wave came over me, your voice in my ear telling me, 'Get up, don't give up', a feeling of hope, a light in the dark.
"It was then I knew I needed to fight for you and I know you know that's exactly what I did, shouting your name, I would have walked to the ends of the earth for you.
"I cannot say I did it alone, beautiful people, they opened their hearts to us, walking alongside our family and friends all with the common goal to bring you home, pushed to our limits, endless days, tested time and again with plenty of bumps along the way.
"A nation pulling together to help our family, so much love.
"It was that love that lit a path and it brought you home to us and we are so blessed to have you back home again."
Jade said the funeral was a day for Bernadette's life to be celebrated.
"Everyone here shares memories with you, love, laughter and kindness that knew no bonds," she said.
"Our bond is unbreakable, it's so strong. we're the best of friends who shared many laughs, many highs, many lows, countless memories that will live on forever and I promise to make many more for us both.
"I want to say how proud I am to be your daughter - my teacher, my protector, my world."
The 29-year-old vowed to take care of Bernadette's parents and to "try to be the best person I can be".
"Nothing will ever take your place and I know there will always be a void," Jade said.
"Thank you for giving me everything in life, this year will be our big birthdays, your 50th and my 30th.
"Mam, I will be going to Turkey to mark your day and ill do it in style because you and I, we never did things by half.
"Dillin and I will be on that rooftop in Antalya looking at the sun and the stars. Dillin is brokenhearted too, brokenhearted that you won't be able to walk me down the aisle to him but I know you will be there.
"Thank you truly for giving me everything, love, laughs, courage, and strength, telling me straight and correcting me when I'm wrong."
Jade added that her mam had a way with people and was loved by her colleagues at Dublin Airport during her 17 years there.
She said Bernadette's next venture was to be a life coach, which she already was for a lot of people.
"We will never forget you mam, and I have some goals that I hope can be achieved to keep your memories alive," Jade said.
"Don't worry about me, I know I'm your little girl but Dillin will do you proud.
"You are the sun, the moon and the stars, the wind in our hair and the heat on our skin, your afterlife is about to begin."
