A "fun" new cycle track and training area in Stapleford will soon be available to the community. Located in Ilkeston Road Recreation Ground, work began on the track back in January and is a mini road network on which children and adults can learn and practice cycling.
The 200-metre network of mini roads, including road markings, zebra crossings, a roundabout and road signs, will fully open for the first time on Saturday (April 8). It will be open and available to use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In February, 2023, residents told Nottinghamshire Live that they felt "positive" about the arrival of the track. Others were excited about something "new" being added to the park.
