Fuming BT Sport viewers demand refunds as Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight cuts out before final round

Viewers watching the long-awaited Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight on BT Sport were fuming as the action cut out just before the eighth and final round was about to start. Four-and-a-half hours into the programme, with Fury and Paul's bout as the main event, fans who had paid £19.95 to watch the action on BT Sport Box Office were calling for refunds as the footage came to an abrupt stop and was unable to restart.

As fans tried to return to the fight they received the message "event unavailable." @2mum4 tweeted that they were "fuming." @iliwyskc said: "Erm final round and BT sport crashes? #BTSportBoxOffice." @DGWilson175 asked: "What’s happening @btsport??? Last round and event now unavailable??"

@PG_RawrGlenn exclaimed: "Wtf @btsport just before the final round cut out??" @Mr_Craig1 questioned: "BT Sport - event unavailable?!"

Manchester boxer Tommy went on to win by a split decision after their fight finally took place at the third attempt following two cancelled bouts. The contest was billed as 'The Truth', with the pair hoping to earn a place in the WBC cruiserweight rankings with a win. Both had an undefeated career so far, with Fury holding a 8-0 record and Paul having won his first six fights as a professional, with Fury being his first full-time professional opponent.
