A new study has revealed the UK's worst airports for flight delays - and Newcastle comes in at number 11.
According to analysis of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) data by the PA news agency, Birmingham Airport was the worst for flight delays last year. Departures from the West Midlands airport were an average of 12 minutes and 24 seconds late taking-off in 2021, the research showed.
Southampton Airport had the second poorest record, followed by Heathrow, Exeter and Aberdeen airports. And Newcastle ranked 11th, with an average delay per flight of seven minutes and 24 seconds. Scroll down to see the full list.
