Haas launched a formal ‘right to review’ that, if successful, stood to elevate its driver Nico Hulkenberg into the points at Austin after identifying cases of cars exceeding track limits that were not identified by the stewards at the time.
Its case was based around onboard footage showing Alex Albon, Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Logan Sargeant straying with all four wheels beyond the painted white lines denoting the edge of the track at Turn 6.
