Chelsea have the opportunity to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they travel to Lille on Wednesday. The Blues hold a two-goal advantage after goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic sealed a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge in February.
Despite their well documented problems off the pitch, Thomas Tuchel’s side have been in fine recent form; winning their last five Premier League games, and will head to Stade Pierre-Mauroy in confident mood.
There has been much debate regarding how the sanctions imposed on club owner Roman Abramovich by the UK government will affect their trip to France and Tuchel will certainly be hopeful that despite the uncertainty that surrounds Chelsea at present, his players will give the perfect response on the pitch.
