The full schedule for the Boston Celtics’ (and the rest of the NBA’s) 2022-23 season was released by the league Wednesday afternoon.
Besides the dates we’ve already been made aware of (the opening-night game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 18, the East finals rematch against the Miami Heat three days later and the Christmas Day contest against the Milwaukee Bucks chief among them), we can now map out the high points of a season in which Boston is expected to contend for the 2023 NBA title.
We’ve now learned of 37 national TV games; New Year’s, Easter and Martin Luther King Jr. Day games; 13 back to backs; a seven-game homestand; and a six-game road trip. Let’s take a look at some of the more important games on the Celtics’ 2022-23 slate of games.
Celtics schedule highlights:
• 37 National TV spots
• Xmas, New Years Day, MLK, & Easter games
• 13 back-to-backs
• 7-game home-stand in Dec.
• 6-game road trip in Mar.
