Fulham face fight to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi as Everton and Nottingham Forest join transfer race

Fulham face renewed competition for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi after Everton and Nottingham Forest entered the race to sign the winger.

The 22-year-old has verbally agreed terms over a move to Craven Cottage and is desperate to leave Chelsea to get his career back on track.

Hudson-Odoi is willing to take a significant pay cut to leave Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are frustrated Fulham will not pay the £8million asking price but the Cottagers believe the Blues are demanding too much as they will soon save more than £120,000 a week in wages.

Fulham confirmed the departure of striker Aleksandr Mitrovic on Saturday, with the Serbian international joining Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal for £46m.

They have already signed Raul Jimenez but Marco Silva has admitted the club face a fight to replace Mitrovic, who scored 14 Premier League goals last season.

“It’s not just about replacing Mitrovic," said the Fulham boss after Saturday’s defeat to Brentford. “Unfortunately we still have many things to do (in the transfer window) and, unfortunately for me as manager of this football club, we still have four or five players to sign.

“We have 15 days to finish in the market and the striker position and the striker market is not an easy one, as you know, because many clubs are also looking for the same.
