The cost of living crisis has seen the price of fuel skyrocket in recent months leaving motorists struggling to fill their tanks.
The highest price for petrol across the UK was recorded at 212.9p per litre with diesel coming in at a whopping 218.9p per litre.
But in the last two weeks, prices have fallen from record highs driven by the war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russian oil.
Russia is the world’s third largest oil producer and is responsible for around 10 per cent of global oil sales.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused major instability in the global economy.
With wholesale petrol costs having cooled off drivers could now save a tenner per tank, according to the AA.
The average pump price in the UK is now down to 184.5p per litre, and 194.2p for a litre of diesel.
