Chloe Fisher & Ellidy Pullin Reveal What You Didn’t See During Their Australian Tour

You all saw the highlight reel: the hugs, the outfits, the sold-out rooms. What you didn’t see was the raw, unfiltered — and slightly feral — moments of our most recent baby, Darling, Shine! The Unspoken Tour. The chaos, tears (okay, maybe you saw some of these), and moments fuelled entirely by snacks and sheer determination. So here it is, the stuff that didn’t make the Instagram.

1. The emotional hangovers

These are worse than actual hangovers, trust us. We’ve said it many times, but we weren’t expecting to sell out our shows completely, and we were overwhelmed by the support we received from you.

Every night we’d get back to the hotel on a high, adrenaline through the roof, brains fried but hearts full. And then…silence.

Cue staring at the ceiling, wondering if we talked too much, too fast or swore too much (the limit does not exist). No one prepares you for the emotional whiplash of a tour.

2. The shambles of packing

After the first few stops, we forgot who we were, where we were and what day it was. You realise you’ve packed six identical tops, not enough pants, a single heel, and forgot your toothbrush. We were violently humbled by trying to fit as much as possible into 23 kgs of baggage, and not the emotional kind.

3. The consumption of snacks

People think tours are all glitz and glamour, but in reality, it’s us huddling in a corner, eating chips at weird hours and consuming an ungodly amount of Twisties and Coca-Cola’s. If there was a national shortage of chocolate coconut water, that was us, sorry. We estimate that about 80 per cent of the tour was held together by these snack sessions.

4. The doubt

If you ever thought we didn’t suffer from imposter syndrome, we absolutely do. There’s always that annoying little voice in the back of your mind making you doubt yourself. We constantly asked ourselves, are we doing this right? Are we saying too little or saying enough? The tour taught us serious self-acceptance, or at least, how to laugh at ourselves very loudly.

5. The mum guilt

This one slapped us right in the face a few times. Being on the road while still trying to be present is a juggle none of us are nailing perfectly, but God, we try. And if there’s one thing we kept coming back to, it’s this: we want our girls to see us doing the things we love, working hard, taking chances, and backing ourselves. Because that’s the stuff they’ll remember.

6. The pep talks

…And occasional roasts we gave each other. We hyped ourselves up like we were about to go into battle. Sometimes when nerves got spicy, we’d roast each other back to reality. The phrases “You’ve got this” and “Get it together” went hand in hand most days.

7. The reality of being raw

It may seem obvious, but we talk about some tough stuff. Being a mum, widowhood and fertility are not exactly light topics, and we quickly realised how tricky it can be to navigate this Live, and not behind a podcast mic. We pride ourselves on being our most authentic and raw. It’s intimate, unfiltered and rarely sexy. But we got through it by laughing until we cried, or crying until we laughed, and with the knowledge that we were doing it with all of you with us.

8. The gratitude and pride

There were moments when our brains were so fried we couldn’t form sentences or thoughts, but the gratitude overflowed. People gave up their time and money to come and listen to us, something we don’t take lightly. While we knew how lucky we were to be experiencing it with you all, we were also so proud of ourselves. Proud we were open, truthful, didn’t pretend to have it all sorted. Proud we did something scary and showed up anyway. Even on the hard days, proud and grateful.

9. The BTS — until now

We made sure we treated you to a great (hopefully seamless) live show. What you didn’t see was the behind-the-scenes making of the tour. That is, until now. We’re so excited to share the After-Movie with you, a feature film-length complete behind-the- scenes look at all the blood, sweat and tears, and the dream team that helped us make the tour a reality.

The film premieres today, Friday, 19 December at 6pm AEST right here on YouTube. Happy watching!
