Props and costumes from the TV show “Friends” are to be auctioned.
The sale marks the 30th anniversary of the international global phenomenon and will feature instantly recognizable items, including a Central Perk sign and couch.
Other highlights include costumes worn by all five friends, Rachel, Ross, Joey, Monica and Chandler.
Los Angeles-based Julien’s Auctions say there will also be items used by the show’s famous guest stars including Susan Sarandon, Bruce Willis, Dakota Fanning, Winona Ryder, and many others.
David Goodman, CEO of Julien’s Auctions, said: “Every day, somewhere around the world Friends is playing on a screen, which speaks to its enormous popularity and its attraction of new fans even decades after its finale.
“Julien’s is thrilled to represent this iconic collection brought us to by Warner Bros. Television that celebrates the 30th anniversary of this legendary show that achieved the absolute zenith of pop culture.”
From its September 22, 1994, debut and throughout its 10-season run, Friends received worldwide acclaim and became part of the cultural zeitgeist as one of the most popular television shows of all time.
The auction will take place on September 23, both in person in Los Angeles and online.
