A father was given a horror diagnosis when he went to his GP after water spurted out of his nose when he was drinking.
Phil Sledden-Houston, who confesses is a heavy smoker, was told he had a tumour the size of a tennis ball which had to be removed from his cheek in surgery that took over 15 hours.
The 51-year-old was given the shattering news that the bizarre nasal faux-pas was in fact a sign that he had advanced cancer and without surgery had just months to live.
Scots fugitive Jamie 'Iceman' Stevenson arrested in Amsterdam with man wanted by Police Scotland
One of Scotland's most wanted men has been arrested in the Netherlands with another fugitive after a major search operation.
Jamie "Iceman" Stevenson, from Rutherglen, was apprehended while jogging in Amsterdam around midday on Friday February 4.
The manhunt for Stevenson escalated last month when an international wanted notice was posted.
Sleeping child driven off in Glasgow Airport taxi after dad and driver failed to spot him
A sleeping child was accidentally driven off in a Glasgow taxi after the driver and his dad failed to realise he was still inside the vehicle.
The frantic parent raised the alarm on Friday morning after he and the child were meant to be dropped off in the Petershill Road area of Maryhill.
But the youngster, who is understood to be around five-years-old, stayed in the car and was then driven the 11 miles back to Glasgow Airport where he and his dad had initially been collected.
