Good morning. Labour has won the Holborn and St Pancras byelection, heading off a challenge from the Greens and confirming prime minster Andy Burnham’s ability to consolidate vibes into votes.

Labour candidate Sagal Abdi-Wali – who is currently leader of Camden council – won 12,292 votes while her closest rival and Green party leader, Zack Polanski, received 8,928 in a byelection that was called after former prime minister Keir Starmer resigned from his London seat last month.
