Fresh Met Office warning as more snow and ice to hit this weekend

The Met Office has issued a fresh warning as more ice and snow is predicted for Liverpool and the rest of the north west of England.

It is the latest in a string of warnings amid a cold snap that has hit the UK this week. More snow and ice is also forecast for Scotland.

Snow started to fall on Liverpool on Wednesday, March 8, as forecasters predicted with the first flurries of snow fall recorded at around 1pm. There is a yellow snow warning in place today (Thursday, March 9) and Friday, March 9.
