Fresh calls for PM to quit as Tories lose hundreds of seats in local elections

Tory activists today blamed Boris Johnson for the party losing hundreds of seats in Thursday’s crunch local elections.

There were fresh calls for the Prime Minister to quit after the Conservatives dropped 320 seats and relinquished control of 10 English councils.

The gloomy PM saw his party surrender control of three London councils to Labour : Westminster, Barnet and Wandsworth.
