French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced on social media that diesel and domestic heating oil prices are expected to fall from 1 November 2026. The government says the measures will benefit motorists and other fuel users across France.

'That's about €10 (£8.45 or $11.18) in savings per fill-up. This reduction will also impact the price of domestic heating oil, gas oil sold to transport professionals, and non-road gas oil used by farmers, fishermen, or construction professionals,' Lecornu said.
